When everything feels uncertain, you may be closer than you think

There is a moment after something ends where nothing feels clear.

Not the next step.
Not the right decision.
Not even the version of you that is meant to emerge on the other side.

It is uncomfortable. It is unfamiliar. And if you are used to being someone who figures things out quickly, it can feel like something is wrong.

But what if nothing is wrong?

What if this space, the one where you do not know, is not a gap to rush through but a place to actually be?

After cancer treatment, I thought the goal was to get back to my life. I moved quickly. I left my job, found something new, and kept going. On the outside, it looked like progress. On the inside, something felt slightly off.

I was making decisions without actually sitting in the question.

What do I want now?
Who am I now?
What even fits anymore?

We are taught to decide quickly. To move forward. To make sense of things as soon as possible. To have a plan.

But when you do not know what is next, you are not lost. You are open.

Open to options you could not have seen before.
Open to versions of yourself you have not yet met.
Open to a life that is not built from habit, but from truth.

Every moment holds multiple doorways. Most of the time, we walk through the ones that feel familiar. The ones that match who we have always been.

But when you allow yourself to sit in the unknown, even briefly, you begin to notice other doors. The ones that require a different version of you to walk through them.

That space between who you were and who you are becoming can feel like nothing is happening.

In reality, everything is happening.

You are recalibrating.
You are shedding what no longer fits.
You are learning how to listen to yourself in a way you may never have before.

Not knowing is not a failure to figure things out. It is the beginning of choosing differently.

You do not need to have the whole path mapped out.

You only need to be honest about what no longer fits.
And willing to take one step that feels true.

The rest will meet you there.
